These are fried "Barbounia" (sorry about the crummy photo), the most amazing and tasty Greek fish -- not sure of the translation, or if any is needed/appropriate. Been years since I had some, but today they were served by my former student Fotini Limberaki‎ in Nea Mihaniona, Chalkidikis. Her husband is a fisherman!
